In the beginning, the world box was without form and void. That’s because god hit pause while he figured out what to make.
The god made hell, heaven, and a bit of land in the middle.
He saw what he had made and said, “Yeah, that’ll do.”
And he took the hell and picked demon from his pallet, which he dropped into hell with some others like him. They had flaming swords because, of course, they did.
He took that first creature and made him into an immortal giant called Satan. I’m sure no problems will arise from that.
Satan was marked as a favourate.
And then likewise, he decorated the heaven and saw that it was kind of pretty, so he left it empty. Where, in the fullness of time, unicorns would appear there as that was the right biom for them.
And having done all this, he turned his attention to the bit in the middle. He gave it grass and seeds and trees because he was basic like that.
He popped down four humans because those are his favourites.
He called the humans Adam, Steve, Lilith and Eve because that was bound to upset someone.
And he did make them immortal and strong of body because there were bound to be some wars or something later.
And lo, he did put a divine barrier around the hell and the heaven so he could play with the bit in the middle.
And now did the world appear thus.
And then did the god spam in a bunch of passive mobs so the humans could have something fluffy to pet – or eat, depending on how they were feeling that day.
And having done the how thing on the first day, the god did press play because this would otherwise become rather dull.
And the humans said to one another, “come let us make a village and call it The garden and name our kingdom Eden so as to really stay on brand.”
And they did and the first civilisation started.
The first five chapters of World Boxed is available to read on my website, now.
World boxed charts the narrative in my head as I play World Box.
