Midweek blogging report

We are coming up on mid-week so here is a report about all the things I have been blogging recently.

Author Buzz: About pages

On Author Buzz, my most recent post was about “about pages” and why they matter. The post features a blow-by-blow account of what you should have on an about page (and what you should not have).

Thanet Creative: Giving and receiving advice

For Thanet Creative, I have written two new posts recently. They were both an update and retread of posts I write for Thanet Creative on their old blog.

Tumblr: All sorts of stuff

As for my Tumblr musings, it is – as it always is – a mixed bag of assort interests and weird nerdy stuff.

Of potential interest to my fellow writers, is a post challenging you to list the strangest and more trubling things writers Google for.

@LordMatt on Twitter

Over on Twitter, most of my tweets have been relaying the blogs I have been posting. One announcement that might have slipped past is this one about a pain and medication app I am working on.

I’ve started so I’ll finish…

The app is built on the Gneiss platform – a MVC framework I created a few years ago. Gneiss abstracts away all the stuff I find frustrating and tedious about starting a new PHP project.

The app itself is based on my own need to monitor my pain levels and record when I took medication. That way I can convert my hour-to-hour subjective experiences into objective data. Which means I can give my GP solid feedback on how effective my treatment seems to be.

I do not have an end date for this project (yet).

New Blog: Questions Writers Ask

In response to this say post, I created a whole new blog. It will be an infrequent blog with posts edited over time.

For the test post, I revisited disposing of a dead body. Something I had explored for Thanet Creative previously.

Then we got into historic warfare, knights, castles, and swords…

A blog post that will be updated over time.

I would really appreciate it if you pick one and give it some love in the form of likes, shares, or comments. Just so I know that I’m not talking to myself (again).
