Fairy rings have changed

With the loss of woodlands, it is easy to believe that gateways such as fairy rings are gone, lost to progress.

This is not, however, true. Fairy rings never left. They changed.

This, my son, is one such ring. Orbited by dancing lights, this is a gateway to the fae realms. It takes a well-trained eye to see through the disguise.

Yes, I know it looks like a roundabout for traffic. That’s the magic of the fae. Do not look too closely, for they might look back at you.

Now that you know, stay well clear of it. The fae folk are mercurial beings on their best days. The constant noise of cars has left them more than a little grumpy. It is best not to disturb them.
