Time to fess up about my unfinished projects

I am really good at starting projects. I am less good at finishing them. They tend to get to 90% to 98% and then tick over waiting for me to “find time”.

The thing about time is that it largely refuses to be found. If one needs time, one has to make it oneself. In other words, if these projects are to be wrapped up ever, I have to make that happen.

I think that I maybe work best when working to a public deadline. That’s why I get so much done in November (NaNoWriMo and all). This post, then, is an experiment. If the whole world (theoretically) knows what I have left to finish will I finish those things?

Things I have yet to finish or, in some cases, start

  • Legend: I really need to publish more chapters. I’ve written enough of them.
  • The last part of Draft Novel “Danny Jackson and the unsolved case”
  • Video where I strip down and rebuild 4 PS3s
  • A season of youtube videos about WordPress
  • WordPress plugin “Things Itemised” phase 2
  • Augmented reality RPG mobile game
  • Transfer of Thanet Star archives to new platform thanetstar.com
  • WordPress for writers course at the Thanet Creative skills centre

Being the distracted nerd that I am, this list will probably always be incomplete. Hopefully one or two items here will be transferred to things finished in December 2020.

Feel free to shout encouragement at me in the comments. Also, nagging on social media is good too.
